Arabica is a type of Luwak coffee that grows at higher altitudes, 1,000 to 2,000 meters, and while it has a lower yield and less caffeine content (0.8 to 1.4%), it is widely recognized to be superior to Robusta. High quality blends consist of 100% Arabica beans. Lower quality, cheaper blends may have some proportion of Robusta beans, or they may consist entirely of Robusta. Arabica beans result in a superior taste that is more flavourful and complex than Robusta counterparts. Robusta beans tend to produce a bitter brew, with somewhat of a musty flavour and less body. Considering this distinction, you can see why high quality coffee should consist of 100% premium Arabica beans which is what 'Luwak URban Blendz' offers. Much of Indonesia's Arabica coffee is grown and processed by small-holder farmers, which offer exacting quality control and labour intensive processing techniques that add a layer of quality assurance not found with the larger producers of product.
Dark roast coffee beans are roasted past the point of full flavour so as to bring out highly desirable burnt subtleties with a distinct aroma and taste that makes dark roast coffee one of the most popular blends all over the world.

Acidity relating to coffee does not refer to how sour it is, but is a sharp, tangy aftertaste left on the sides of your tongue after sipping.
Body relating to coffee is an attribute descriptor used to describe the physical properties of the beverage. A full body is a strong but pleasant characteristic of taste as opposed to being thin bodied. Body also refers to the weight, or thickness of the taste, specifically at the back of your tongue. |
